MENTORING PROGRAM RECEIVES LOCKHEED MARTIN DONATION PDF Print E-mail

A $2,000 donation from Lockheed Martin will support a one-on-one mentoring program run by Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS) at Prescott Valley’s Lake Valley Elementary School.

The mentoring program provides help for children dealing with poverty, single-parent families, and other issues at home. The goal is to help children overcome challenges, succeed in school, and ultimately strengthen the fabric of the community, according to Lake Valley Principal Danny Brown. “School-family partnership is critical to students’ success,” he observes.
