The State of Arizona offers tax credits that allow Arizonans who itemize to make contributions to Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters under a statute designed to help organizations that serve the working poor. This is not just another tax deduction - it’s a true tax credit which reduces the amount you owe the state… dollar for dollar up to $200 for individuals and $400 for couples filing jointly.

This program works the same way as, but is completely separate from,  the school tax credit donations. Because the credits are given under different statutes, you can give the maximum donation to Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters AND to your local school and get the full direct credit for both contributions.

How does this tax credit work? It’s easy!

• Make a contribution to Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters by December 31.
• Donate online, call 928-778-5135 or mail to YBBBS, 3208 Lakeside Village Drive, Prescott AZ 86301.
• Get a receipt  - We mail one to you when your gift is received.
• File your taxes.
• When you fill out your Arizona tax return, complete the very simple form 321 and deduct the amount of your gift – up to $200.00 maximum for individuals, $400.00 for couples filing a joint tax return – from what you owe in state taxes for the year.
