Ayla, 9, was just matched to the Bryner family! Ayla lives with her mom and stepfather in a busy household. Her teacher says “she is very sweet and she could really blossom and have a chance to improve herself in ways that she might not know are available to her.” Ayla’s new Bigs are made up of Elliott, an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University professor; Colleen, a homemaker with a background in teaching, and their four children. The Bryners heard a Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters presentation at their church and really enjoyed hearing the “Big Stories.” Ayla likes to be outdoors: swimming, hiking, fishing, and would like the chance to go horseback riding. She is very interested in gymnastics and watches videos on YouTube of young girls’ gymnastic meets.
