Recruitment Assistant

Do you want to positively change the community in which you live?  We  have created a new position in our Recruitment Department that connects our important work to the members in our community who may be potential Big Brothers or  Big Sisters.  Connecting to elicit volunteers is the essence of the YBBBS Mission.  Do you have what we are looking for to change the life of a child as a Recruitment Assistant?

Job Type: Full time

Job Location: Prescott

Required experience:  Three years experience in external communications, public relations and networking. Former or current BIG is preferred

Required license or certification: Driver’s License

Required education: Bachelor’s Degree or experience in sales and recruitment.  Highly developed networking skills

Preferred language: Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferable

This full-time position is responsible for portraying our mission to the general public in person and by social media in an effort to identify potential Big Brothers and Big Sisters who are interested and qualified to be matched with a child.  The candidate will possess excellent organizational ability, proven communication skills, and a genuine concern for the well being of the mentored children. The candidate will demonstrate above average computer skills and be willing to enter all contacts with potential volunteers into a database to track volunteer inquiries and record their advancement through the process of becoming matched to a child. The candidate should have experience working with volunteers and children. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to speak to small and large audiences to portray our mission.  The position will work from our Prescott office and will spend time at community events making contact with potential volunteers by networking and sharing our mission. The candidate will implement short and long-term recruitment campaign activities to ensure an optimal geographic balance between youth in process and available volunteers and create community partnerships for the purpose of recruitment.  Experience as a Big is preferred.

Enrollment Specialist – 2 openings

Do you want to positively change the community in which you live?  We are growing as the needs of our community grow.  We  have created a new opening for a position in our Program Department that supports Child Safety through careful, thoughtful interviewing and screening of potential Volunteers.  Child safety is essential to the YBBBS Mission.  Do you have what we are looking for to change the life of a child as a Enrollment Specialist?

Job Type: Part-time

Job Location: Prescott and Verde Valley

Required experience: A minimum four years experience in counseling, social service or mentoring field and/or two years experience interviewing adults, or three years experience working with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Required license or certification: Driver’s License

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work or related field.  Master’s Degree preferred.

The Enrollment Specialist will meet individual volunteer enrollment goals through effectively and efficiently assisting volunteers through the intake process in a flexible environment.  Interview and screen community based and school based volunteers.  Conduct group and individual volunteer informational meetings. Compile and maintain volunteer files.  Communicate and collaborate with Match Advisors to ensure quality matches. Understand the importance of teamwork and good morale.  Will possess the ability to work as a member of a team.  Experience as a Big is preferred. Program Director
Prescott, AZ

Supervising a team of 10, the Program Director, with the President and CEO, helps guide YBBBS on the path to growth and success through developing strong community and educational ties.

• The right candidate for Program Director will oversee program implementation to ensure achievement of annual match goals. The Program Director ensures collaboration and alignment with other internal departments and advocates for support from community partners, especially schools, tribes and the juvenile courts.
• Contribute to achieving agency goals as set forth in the Strategic Plan.
• Accountable for program performance while monitoring operational effectiveness using work flow, tracking systems and database operation.
• Gathers accurate information for reports, tracks performance & develops measures to ensure agency performance and growth.
• Manages risk and keeps Child Safety at the forefront of everyday activities.
• Communicates with CEO and Board of Directors on matters of program effectiveness, youth outcomes and child safety.
• Ensure compliance with established youth protection and quality control policies
• Drives implementation of programs designed to increase and strengthen Big and Little mentoring relationships.
• Manages critical service and workflow issues that impact staff’s ability to provide service to families and mentors.
• Implements new program initiatives to expand mentoring services Target community issues as needed.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with schools, tribes and juvenile courts to educate them regarding the needs of youth and the outcomes of mentoring as well as the agency’s mission.
• Leads communications within program department.
• Support efforts related to service delivery and customer service to enhance program implementation, communicate policy and assure compliance.
• Hires, engages, develops, and holds staff accountable to work efficiently and effectively and to achieve individual and team goals while complying with local policies and national standards of practice.
• Establish and ensure a system and culture of continuous staff learning, development and succession planning.
• Work with recruitment/marketing and fund development departments to ensure an on-going supply of targeted volunteer candidates and resources to support agency programs.
• Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree in education or social work required.
• Five years supervisory experience, five years in social services case management and experience with BBBS is a plus.

Spanish-Speaking Match Advisor (Case Worker)
Part-time 20 hours – Cottonwood, AZ
WE ARE GROWING and adding to our winning team! Join Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, where we’re changing the lives of children, fundamentally, for the better, forever! Looking to hire a Spanish-speaking Match Advisor for a 20-hour position. College degree. Under moderate supervision the Match Advisor will maintain contact with the child, parent and Big on a regular ongoing basis per standards set by our National Office to ensure child safety, match compatibility and success. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field. The candidate will possess excellent organizational ability, proven communication skills, empathy, and a genuine concern for the well being of the mentored children. The candidate will demonstrate above average computer skills and be willing to enter all contacts with stakeholders into a database using objective observation to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a mentoring relationship. The Match Advisor will also participate in fundraising activities throughout the year. The candidate should have experience working with volunteers and children and be well versed in finding solutions to moderate to difficult emotional issues. The position will report to our Prescott, AZ office but also be required to travel to family homes for interviews and enrollment of children.
