Child of the Week: Dylon

Dylon-Robertson-webWhen you look into a child’s eyes you can see a glimmer of hope. Children are dreamers, who can achieve whatever they want with a little help. Giving 8 hours a month can turn a child’s dream into reality.

Meet Dylon, an 11 year old 5th grader who is being raised by his grandparents due to family instability. Dylon could really benefit from a consistent Big Brother willing to stick with him through Middle School, and High School. Middle Shool and High School can be the most challenging times in a boy’s life, and can require the most support. Spending 8 hours a month with a Big Brother can mold Dylon into the successful man he wants to become.

Dylon is a good natured boy whose interests include basketball, skateboarding, and riding his bike. He has a scooter which he also enjoys riding frequently. Like most boys his age, Dylon enjoys playing video games, but he is not afraid to venture outside.

Simple things such as taking a kid fishing, going to the movies, or playing sports with a child like Dylon can positively influence that child’s life Fundamentally. For the Better. Forever! There are over 100 boys in Yavapai County in need of a Big Brother, Big Couple, or Big Family.
