Greetings... A Message from the YBBBS Program Director

I’m Lynn Baxter, the returning Program Director at Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters. Having worked for the organization for over 9 years, from 2005 through 2014,  I am honored to return and oversee all program functions in the Prescott and Cottonwood offices.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education, with my entire professional career dedicated to working with varied populations in the non-profit sector.  I am especially attached to the mission of YBBBS and so grateful to be back at this agency as of last month. Most important, I have been a Big Sister twice and currently matched to Little Sister Sapphire for over 3 years!

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters has been busy rebuilding our presence in the Verde Valley and I have good news to share:

Cheryl Gray has been hired as a new Match Advisor. She is aligned with YBBBS’ mission and well-thought of as a recent volunteer (along with her husband), and she will now be taking over the position formerly held by Christina Murray.  As a retired teacher, she is an advocate for children and she possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of the local community.

Jeremia Sunfellow has returned to assist in training of new staff to ensure our Verde matches receive good care and timely match support.

Tim Cox remains a YBBBS Board Member and is heading efforts to rebuild our VV/Sedona Community Board. Are you interested in an active role supporting our agency’s mission and efforts?  Please contact Tim for further information at Tim@yourteamaz.com.

We are now interviewing for the position Verde Valley/Sedona Director. This position oversees all departments within the Verde Valley office which includes Fund Development, Recruitment and Program.
