MITER Foundation Extends Support of Yavapai Youth with Matching Gift to Employee Bowl For Kids’ Sake Fundraising

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — August 20, 2026 — Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS) is pleased to announce a generous contribution from MITER Foundation, which has extended its support of local youth by matching funds raised by employees of Milgard Windows and Doors in Prescott Valley through YBBBS’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser earlier this year. MITER Foundation is the charitable arm of Milgard’s parent company, MITER Brands.

Milgard employees demonstrated their commitment to the community by participating in Bowl For Kids’ Sake in April and raising $10,222 to support the mission of Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters. In recognition of the employees’ efforts, MITER Foundation chose to make an additional investment in YBBBS by matching the amount raised by the local team.

It is a wonderful example of a company recognizing the commitment of its employees and choosing to make an even greater investment in the community.”

The additional funding will help Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters continue creating and professionally supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise in young people throughout Yavapai County.

Mentoring provides children and young adults with the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with caring adults who can help them build confidence, strengthen life skills, explore new opportunities, and make positive choices. Contributions from community partners such as Milgard and MITER Foundation help YBBBS recruit and support mentors, provide ongoing match support, and ensure that young people have access to quality mentoring relationships.
