Prescott Valley Child of the Week: Trevonn

Trevonn-Colum--webWith 8 hours a month and an extra seatbelt in your car you can show an at-risk child true enjoyment, offer hope where little is found, and fill the void left in a young boy’s life.

Meet Trevonn, a sporty 13 year old who describes himself as a “cautious, yet loving and caring boy.” Trevonn has experienced a lot of adversity in his life, from never knowing his father to having little contact with his biological mother. Despite his circumstances, Trevonn exemplifies great courage every day and would like a Big Brother he can talk to and play sports with.

A social child with major aspirations in life, Trevonn enjoys playing basketball and football. He also has confidence under the spotlight, as he would like to become an actor when he grows up. The second oldest of 5 children, Trevonn is very protective over his younger siblings, and enjoys spending time with his friends.

What if the greatest gift you could give one of our at-risk youth was 8 hours a month? What if that time encouraged a Little to graduate high school, follow their dreams, and ultimately build a better life? All it takes is 2-4 times a month.
