Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces “The Gala Where Magic Begins” on October 24
PRESCOTT, AZ — Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters is inviting the community to step into a fairytale evening at its annual gala, “The Gala Where Magic Begins: Once Upon a Match: The Magic of Mentorship,” on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Prescott Resort Ballroom.
This year’s gala celebrates the life-changing power of mentoring relationships and the magic that happens when a young person is matched with a caring adult who believes in their potential.
Guests will enjoy an enchanted evening featuring dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing, a cash bar, magical stories, a Share-Your-Mentor Wall, and a special raffle prize from Raskin’s Jewelers, along with other fairytale surprises.
The evening will feature Patrick Schweiss, Executive Director of the Sedona International Film Festival, as special emcee.
An Enchanted Evening of Dining
Guests will be treated to a selection of entrées from the Enchanted Kitchen, including:
- Grilled Flat Iron Steak
- Wild Mushroom Sauce Breast of Chicken
- Grilled Vegetable Tofu Tower
- Pan-Roasted Atlantic Salmon
Entrées will be served with garlic whipped potatoes and honey-roasted baby carrots, followed by a flourless chocolate cake for dessert.
The gala is a formal-attire event, with guests also encouraged to bring some storybook magic to the evening by dressing as their favorite fairytale character.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m.
