This scholarship is awarded to 4-5 students enrolled in Yavapai College at $1,000 each. Students must be current or former Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters Littles. Students must log into their Yavapai College account, go to “Students”… then “My Financial Aid”… and then they will see the “YC Scholarship Application.”
Verde Valley Only: The Platt Scholarship for Verde Valley Littles only

This scholarship can be used for expenses at any institution of higher learning such as a community college, a 4 year college, or technical training. The total amount of the funding is up to $1000.
You are eligible to apply if you are a high school graduating senior and you are a current or former Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters Little for 12 months or more. You are also eligible to apply if you have been a Big Brother or Big Sister in either the community or school mentoring program for 12 months or more. The award is based upon the recommendations of YBBBS Match Advisors and teachers, your grades, and the answers to the questions on our application.
The Miter Foundation Scholarship
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to 100 applicants who best demonstrate a passion for learning and a commitment to positively impacting their community. Recipients will be chosen by the MITER Foundation Scholarship Committee based on application responses and essay submissions. Apply here. Deadline April 11, 2025.

Now accepting applications. Eligible high school seniors can apply for one of five $2,000 scholarships at cuwest.org/scholarship. Simply submit an online application and essay by March 31ˢᵗ to be considered.
Desert Financial Credit Union
Desert Financial Foundation’s Community Service Scholarship program honors exceptional students who have volunteered 50 or more hours of community service. In 2025, 30 applicants will be selected to receive $3,000 each in scholarship funds, to be distributed directly to the Arizona-based college or university of their choice. Apply here by March 17th.
