On the verge of becoming a teenager, Hunter needs “someone to do something with,” according to his mom.
The 12-year-old lives with his mother and younger brother in Prescott Valley. He can play video games with his brother and online with friends, but a Big Brother could take him somewhere he can be active. Hunter mentioned a waterpark as one of his dream activities. He plays flag football on his school’s team and can throw a perfect spiral and execute a dazzling drop kick – both over a long distance – and would like an energetic Big who can run across a grassy field and catch those offerings.
Hunter’s favorite subject as a sixth-grader is social studies. He happily has toured some of the area’s historic places, such as Jerome, Fort Verde, and the Sharlot Hall and Phippen museums, and has ventured to the Petrified Forest in Northern Arizona. He demonstrated his stamina for adventure a few years ago when a relative helped his small family visit five theme parks in five days. Hunter especially liked a riverboat ride.
Hunter attends weekly Boy Scout meetings and is helping his troop earn money to go to a camp in Alaska, even though he’s not sure he wants to go.
His diverse interests also include riding quads, ice skating and painting, so a Big could find plenty of activities they could share.
