Ariana is a very polite 9-year-old who is being raised with three brothers and a 1-year-old sister. She is excited about experiencing new and interesting things and is open to trying almost anything and everything. She is hoping to learn how to sew. She does well in school and her favorite subject is math. Her aunt and mother support and encourage her the most. Ariana’s Big, Chelsea, is a patient and outgoing woman who decided to become a Big Sister to help make a difference in a child’s life. She was a People to People Ambassador to Australia where she worked with children, teaching agricultural sciences and maintained a relationship with individual citizens in Australia. Growing up in the rural community of Cornville, Chelsea has followed in her mother’s footsteps by working with local women providing assistance to underprivileged children. Chelsea has expressed a strong affinity with her family and family life in general. When this Big and Little were introduced, it seemed as if they had bonded right away, especially when Chelsea made a remark that she just purchased a new sewing machine. Ariana’s eyes got big and she had a big smile. Needless to say, they are planning on sewing up a storm.
